“When we were called, we expected the worst”, says one of the firefighters on duty this Friday evening. Around 8 p.m., a car and a train collided at a level crossing, route des Minières, in Saint-Paul-les-Dax.
“A miracle”
An impressive accident. Corn more fear than harm : the driver of the car, a 58-year-old man, was only slightly injured, and no injuries to be deplored among the 74 passengers on the train. “You could say it’s a miracle”adds the firefighter.
The Train circulation was therefore interrupted between Bayonne and Daxthe time of the emergency response, and the passengers were taken care of by the SNCF at Dax station, in order to continue their journey on another train.
