A man died and three others were injured after a TER struck a group of about fifty migrants on Thursday (November 4) in Calais (Pas-de-Calais), France Bleu Nord reported on Thursday.
The accident occurred in the Beau Marais district. Around 6.30 p.m., the train, which provided the Dunkirk-Calais connection, could not avoid the group which was on the tracks. The shocked train driver was picked up by firefighters. Franck Dhersin, vice-president of mobility, transport infrastructure and ports at the Hauts-de-France regional council, spoke on Twitter of a “dramatic record”.
