a TPMP columnist explains why he made the decision to leave

In ten broadcasts, the program “Touche pas à mon poste” has seen many columnists on its set. This year, Cyril Hanouna’s merry band is made up of Gilles Verdez, Valérie Benaïm, Guillaume Genton, Géraldine Maillet, Benjamin Castaldi, Isabelle Morini-Bosc, Kelly Vedovelli, Raymond Abou, Bernard Montiel and Matthieu Delormeau.

In 2017, Thierry Moreau, one of the emblems of the program, announced his departure live. Tonight is my last TPMP show, definitely he had dropped by creating the general surprise since even Cyril Hanouna was not aware. “I’ve been there from the start, I’ve had some absolutely brilliant days. I thought to myself that I couldn’t get much better than what I did, I think today is the time to ‘Stop.” he said.

“They were very happy when I left”
This Thursday, March 10, during an interview with Jordan Deluxe, Thierry Moreau returned to this sudden departure: No one knew I was leaving except my wife and kids.” he revealed. “If I had told Cyril I wanted to leave, he would have made a special on it. I wanted it to remain my moment. […] After, Cyril called me, he left me a message, I didn’t blame him. He didn’t really understand, he wanted me to tell him first.

Almost five years after this departure, the columnist decided to reveal the reasons for his departure:My kids didn’t really like the showthey didn’t like this show side, TV, they’re not like that at all… They were very happy when I left, they opened a bottle of champagne when i left in the evening he confessed.

“I had been less comfortable on the show for several months. There was a first phase with France 4 and the start of D8 where we talked about TV in a slightly funny way, then there was a period with happenings and that was less… As a journalist, I liked this period less. That’s one of the reasons I left and had been around. The show was less relevant to me.” concluded Thierry Moreau who now officiates in the program “Estelle Midi” on RMC Story.
