Three people died on Sunday, June 30, in the crash of a tourist plane. The plane hit a high-voltage line before crashing onto the highway in Seine-et-Marne.
The crushed carcass was embedded in the central reservation of the A4 motorway, in Seine-et-Marne. The Cessna 172 aircraft is nothing more than debris. During the accident, the motorists who filmed the scene were stunned. According to the public prosecutor, the aircraft hit a high-voltage line on the afternoon of June 30. The three people on board did not survive. The pilot, aged 35, had more than 100 hours of flight time and his pilot’s license dated from 2023. On the motorway, the plane did not collide with the cars.
Following the accident, both lanes remained closed until 10 p.m. The tourist plane had taken off from Lognes aerodrome, which is very popular with amateur pilots. 240 takeoffs and landings are recorded there every day. In 2021, a flight instructor and his three students crashed in a field before the planned landing at the same aerodrome.
