Several deadly tornadoes hit the United States. This is a frequent phenomenon in the center and south of the country but it is particularly intense at the moment.
In a sky darkened with clouds, an immense column of wind and debris that nothing seems to be able to stop. Friday May 3, in Texas, in the United States, a gigantic tornado crossed several villages, carrying away around thirty homes in its path. Homes and vehicles were destroyed but people survived the tornado. Miraculously, they were only slightly injured.
More than 1,200 tornadoes in 2023
For the past week, the United States has been facing dozens of tornadoes. In Iowa last weekend, gusts pulverized hangars without any resistance. On a road in Nebraska, a truck found itself swept away by the force of the wind. In total, in the center of the country, more than a hundred tornadoes were recorded in a few days, a violent but not unprecedented phenomenon. In 2023, the country has recorded more than 1,200 tornadoes.
