The exchange of gunfire was heard around 9:10 p.m. Wednesday evening at Langelier Park in Repentigny. It is a small park in the middle of a residential area, in the heart of this city located east of Montreal.

The 16-year-old had to be transferred to a Montreal hospital for surgery, but his life is not in danger. He was not very collaborative, specifies Bruno Marier, spokesperson for the Police Department of the city of Repentigny (SPVR).

An important witness was also questioned Wednesday evening by the SPVR. At this point, no arrests have been made in the case and the investigation is still ongoing.

The SPVR is responsible for it, with the support of the Sûreté du Québec.
