Photos of terrorists, of the Islamic State, gaming videos showing beheadings and killings… this is the content shared since the start of the year by a teenager living in Indre-et-Loire. The public prosecutor of Tours, Catherine Sorita-Minard, announced Wednesday June 19 to France Bleu Touraine that this young man was indicted last week for “apology of terrorism”, confirming information from The New Republic.
This 15-year-old teenager, born in 2008 in Grozny in Chechnya and domiciled in Tours, unknown to the justice system and social services, was indicted on Thursday June 13. The videos and photos in question were posted on his social networks between January 1 and June 10.
According to the public prosecutor, the teenager also published photos of terrorists as well as gaming videos “staging a killing in a church and a synagogue.” The report was made at the beginning of June “by a cyber-vigilance service“. The Tours police were supported by the Loiret Anti-Cybercrime Office for the investigation. The arrest took place on June 11.
The young boy goes to school in a college in Indre-et-Loire. He was placed under judicial supervision with a ban on going out at night and an obligation to report regularly to the police station. He will be monitored by the Judicial Youth Protection services.
