A teacher was assaulted Monday, November 29 by a student, in the Lycée Montaigne in Paris. The rectorate announced the establishment of a psychological unit.

A math teacher was assaulted on Monday, November 29, at the Lycée Montaigne, a prestigious Parisian establishment. She was severely punched by a 15-year-old student. She suffers from bruises and an open wound on the forehead. “I fall from the top, because she is a teacher that I particularly like, and I do not understand at all that this can happen to this teacher, especially a teacher who is so attentive in her work.“, confides a student.

The altercation took place in the afternoon, according to the students present in the class, following a calculator story, which the teacher inadvertently dropped. “He got up in rage, (…) after he hit her until blood“, reports a witness. The father of the author of the beatings, interviewed by the investigators, described his son as a turbulent child, disturbed by a difficult family context. The rectorate set up a support cell, Tuesday, November 30 .
