According to INSEE, nearly 3 million homes are vacant. In Oloron-Sainte-Marie (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), Mayor Bernard Uthurry explains that nearly 800 homes are vacant. In areas where people have difficulty finding accommodation, 300,000 homes are said to be unoccupied.
