A synthetic field will see the light of day at the Camille Pédarré sports plain in Mont-de-Marsan

The project costs one million euros. The town of Mont-de-Marsan (Landes), invest in synthetic pitch. It is one of the four fields of the Camille Pédarré plain which will be converted, announced the mayor Charles Dayot this Saturday July 9, 2022.

The objective is to allow clubs to train on it all year round in good conditions. “It is a space that is very used, it seemed important to us while respecting the support that we must have for professional rugby, to put public money for the greatest number. Professionals and amateurs will be able to train here without having the setbacks of bad weather, muddy terrain”, explains the mayor of Mont-de-Marsan Charles Dayot. This new synthetic pitch will be “biosourced”, i.e. made with environmentally friendly materials.

A request from Stade Montois

A first step for the Stade Montois club, which was one of those campaigning for this new training ground. The club would now like another boost from the municipality to build your new grandstandwhich would be equipped with new VIP boxes to welcome new partners. “It is a platform for the club to develop economically. If this platform is a priority, we will be there to study the guarantee of half of the financing and the loan that the club is requesting.” For the moment nothing is signed between the Stade Montois and the town hall.

It’s still time to study but “everything should go fast”, work should start in the fall of 2023 the new ground would see the light of day in early 2024.
