An unconscious man was found behind a building in downtown Montreal on Friday morning in what is currently considered a suspicious death.
The individual was found on Stanley Street, a few steps from the Bell Center, by citizens who contacted the City of Montreal Police Department, spokesperson Sabrina Gauthier explained in an interview with LCN.
“When the police arrived on the scene, unfortunately, the death was noted,” she said.
The death was considered a suspicious death early this morning. “Major crimes will travel to the scene in the morning to analyze the scene, so we may be talking about a homicide,” she said.
The exact cause of death was still not known at the end of the afternoon. The investigation was transferred to the coroner’s office, said SPVM publicist Véronique Dubuc.
