A 30-year-old suspect was indicted for attempted murder after a man fell from the 3rd floor of a building on Sunday morning in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine), France Bleu Armorique reports Wednesday, which contacted the Rennes prosecutor’s office.

The man, suspected of being involved in the fall of the victim, denies the facts. He was placed under arrest warrant, as demanded by the prosecution, by the judge of freedoms and detention. He spent his first night in pre-trial detention.

The forty-year-old victim “found herself, in the hours preceding this tragedy, in contact with this individual who came in the middle of the night to his home clearly animated by violent intentions”, said the parquet floor of Rennes to France Bleu Armorique. The victim was found Sunday morning at the foot of a building. Hospitalized in serious condition, his vital prognosis is still under way.

Furthermore, the suspect’s statements appear to be “in very large contradiction with the objective elements of the investigation” which was entrusted to the Departmental Security. The main respondent in this case “has already been the cause of altercations triggered during previous raids at the victim’s home”, adds the parquet.
