A 57-year-old man has been in custody since Tuesday, November 30. He is suspected of having killed Nadège Desnoix, a 17-year-old high school student, found dead 27 years ago near Château-Thierry, in the Aisne. A DNA sample led to the arrest of the suspect.
In the commune of Coulanges-Cohan (Aisne), we are waiting for the truth about the murder of Nadège Nuts for 27 years. The arrest of a suspect on Tuesday, November 30, is a relief for all residents, who knew the victim. On May 24, 1994, the martyred body of Nadège Desnoix was found by a walker at the edge of a path. The high school student, aged 17 and educated in a technical high school in Château-Thierry, had disappeared the day before.
For years the investigation has stalled. In 2005, the family begged the courts not to close the case. “We ask that justice be done”, explained at the time the brother of Nadège Desnoix. A few months later, investigators thought they had a lead, following the discovery of a vehicle that would have belonged to Michel Fourniret near the technical school. But the trail was quickly ruled out. The investigators have just put a name on a DNA found at the crime scene. The suspect, arrested for acts of domestic violence, will have to explain his presence in Château-Thierry on the day of the crime. Perhaps the end of a mystery, 27 years later.
