Temperatures fell in much of France on Monday April 15, but a large part of the French were able to enjoy a summer weekend.
Temperatures 7°C higher than seasonal norms in Rennes, in Ille-et-Vilaine, during the weekend of April 13 to 14. A welcome ray of sunshine after weeks of rain. “It changes everything !”, reacts a resident. The most daring even took out their swimsuits.
Temperatures falling after the heat peak
In the east of France, in Villiers-le-Lac, in the Doubs, river cruises have resumed and tourists are back. “It’s pretty, it’s beautiful, plus we have the sun with us”, underlines a passenger. The rate of reservations delights cruise passengers. Heat peaks were recorded throughout France. In Palavas-les-Flots (Hérault), the weather was summer. But the celebrations were short-lived, as temperatures dropped from Monday April 15.
