The young man almost lost his sister during a tragedy that took place in Sarcelles, in the Val d’Oise, where the siblings live. In question? The explosion of a pipe caused a rise in water which could have cost her her life.The latter was at the time of the incident in an elevator when she wanted to reach her car located in the parking lot. “At that time, I was thinking about the fact that I was going to die, that my family was going to find me dead in an elevator (…). I would have drowned”, testifies the young girl in front of the journalists. The young student watched the water rise for interminable forty minutes.
Alerted by her cries, her two brothers tried to open the doors of the elevator that had remained stuck. Water rising to the waist, and doors stuck, the images of this misadventure are impressive, the images broadcast on the networks are impressive. Finally, the young woman was saved in extremis by the firefighters. She is now in shock.
Her brother Souleymane who tried to save her posted images of the rescue from his Instagram account and warned that such a tragedy should not happen in a new building. “Today my sister (Souhayla Kham, 22 years old) almost drowned in an elevator in a new apartment, delivered by the company 3F 7 months ago at 2 Bis avenue du 8 mai 1945 in Sarcelles. Several malfunctions are in question the electrical safety, the hydraulic system as well as the elevator operator.“, he explains. “I would like to denounce this disaster, we are in France in 2022, how can we accept to take the risk of dying drowned in an elevator in a new building simply going into our garage? This is unacceptable!“
