Laurène Fernandez, student at the CineFabriquewas selected for the Ciné Fondation, a Cannes festival competition reserved for students.

At 23, Laurène Fernandez will present her film “Les humans are idiots when they pile up” that she realized during her studies at the CineFabriquethe film school of Vase (Rhone). His film was chosen to compete in the Ciné Fondation, a competition reserved for students, from among 1,600 projects. His film, a stop motion comedy, was made from real interviews and deals with community life.

There are people who tell me ‘the subject is people who cannot live together’, (…) it’s a political subject, it’s a social subject“, explains Laurène Fernandez, student in 3rd year image at the CineFabrique. In 2019, another student from the CineFabrique had been selected at Cannes with her student film. “Louise, very concretely, the fact of having won the first prize from the Ciné Fondation three years ago (…) she signed with a production company for her next feature film“, indicates Claude Mourierasdirector of the CineFabrique.
