The 30 Million Friends Foundation announces that it has filed a complaint against a Marseille student who was filmed during a student evening eating a live mouse, reports France Bleu Provence on Tuesday September 19.
“During a high school party in Marseille, a young man was filmed putting a live mouse in his mouth and chewing it to death. The 30 Million Friends Foundation filed a complaint”announces the association on its X account (formerly Twitter).
According to the Foundation, the events took place “during an integration evening for the preparatory classes at the Lycée Thiers in Marseille”Friday September 8. “According to a source who wishes to remain anonymous, the young man took up the challenge of putting the rodent in his mouth”, relates the Foundation in a press release published on its website. This animal seems to belong to one of the high school students. “To the surprise of his comrades, he then chewed the animal until it killed it. The mouse was very much alive during this cruel scene, according to a witness on site”assures the Foundation.

She explains having contacted the Aix-Marseille rectorate, which did not wish to make comments, because the facts took place “during a drunken evening outside of high school”. The management of the Thiers high school in Marseille has also not made any comments to the Foundation.
After viewing the student’s video, the 30 Million Friends Foundation announces that it has filed a complaint “for acts of cruelty and serious abuse leading to the death of an animal”.
