(Longueuil) A youth of about 15 years old was the victim of a stabbing attack on Monday noon on the outdoor grounds of a school in Longueuil. His life would not be in danger and the police have already arrested a suspect.
The incident occurred around lunchtime outside Jacques-Rousseau high school, in the Vieux-Longueuil sector.
Injured after the attack, the teenager was hospitalized, but there was no fear for his life during his transfer by ambulance. His parents were notified of what had happened.
A suspect, “a minor teenager”, was arrested shortly after the incident, confirmed a spokesperson for the Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL), Jean-Pierre Voutsinos.
“We do not know the circumstances of this attack or the link between the two young people,” added agent Voutsinos.
The SPAL investigation is continuing in this case. The police force also asks anyone who may have information to contact, anonymously, its Info-Azimut line.
