On the morning of Wednesday April 3, in front of the Arthur-Rimbaud college in Montpellier (Hérault), the teenagers were in shock, after the attack the day before by one of their classmates, at the 4 p.m. exit. “There were three people who hit her, but around there were at least 20 or 30 people”, testifies a woman present. According to her classmates, Samara, a 14-year-old schoolgirl, had been the victim of harassment since the start of the school year.
“People from outside the college (…) were waiting for my daughter”
For Samara’s mother, her daughter should not have been able to leave the establishment that day, alone. “My daughter’s homeroom teacher called me at 12:30 p.m. to tell me that people from outside the school were waiting for my daughter”explains Hassiba Radjoul, believing that the establishment has no “not sufficiently protected” Samara. A 14-year-old minor, attending the same college, was arrested. The victim is hospitalized, in serious condition, in intensive care.
