The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at Marie-Reine-du-Monde Cathedral in Montreal.
Previously, on May 1 and 2, Guy Lafleur will be exhibited in the state in the Bell Center, allowing Quebecers to come and pay their last respects. The Ardent Chapel will be held on Sunday May 1 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., then on Monday May 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Quebec said it had obtained the approval of the Lafleur family to hold a state funeral, an offer which was first presented by Premier François Legault on Friday, within hours of the announcement of the death of the legendary hockey player.
In addition, the Quebec flag located on the central tower of the Parliament Building will be flown at half-mast, from dawn to dusk, on the day of the funeral.
