We are living through a very dark period in the history of Ukraine and many are wondering how long this country of 44 million inhabitants will manage to hold out against the Russian invader. A war which broke out a few days ago and which scandalizes and frightens almost everywhere in the world. Several athletes have already spoken, like the companion of Gaël Monfils, Elina Svitolina. Some athletes have even already died as a result of the fighting that is currently taking place. An important figure in the Ukrainian football team and star player playing in England, Andriy Yarmolenko also wanted to give his opinion and he didn’t go with the back of the spoon…
In a video he posted on his Instagram account, the 32-year-old striker spoke directly to his Russian counterparts, who are rather discreet in condemning the actions of Vladimir Putin. “I have a question for the players of the Russian national team: Guys, why are you sitting like assholes and not saying anything? In my country they kill people, women, mothers, our children. But you don’t say anything, you don’t comment”protests Andriy Yarmolenko in this video facing the camera of more than two minutes.
I know some of you like to show your cheeks on camera, but now is the time to show your cheeks in real life.
Then, without really naming him, the Ukrainian attacks directly one of the stars of the Russian selection, the striker Artem Dzyuba. “So guys, you have influence over people, show it, I ask you, please! I know some of you like to show off your balls on camera, but now is the time to show your balls in real life.”, launches the footballer. An obvious reference to the affair which affected Artem Dzyuba in November 2020. The latter was temporarily excluded from the national team after the leak of a sextape showing him in full solitary pleasure.
