A vegetation fire declared this Thursday a little after 5 p.m. in southern Ardèche, in the town of Sablières, more precisely at a place called Nouzaret. At midnight, the fire is still not under control and continues its propagation, after having already burned about 35 hectares.
In the middle of the night, 45 firefighters were engaged, and awaited further reinforcements. The firefighters are faced with terrain that is difficult to access, and gusts of wind which aggravate the situation. No so-called sensitive point requiring evacuation has been identified at the current site of the incident.
