Michel Blanc established himself in the Splendid troupe with frail, hypochondriac characters, rejected flirtatious people, often mythomaniacs who ultimately became cult figures.
50 years of friendship for Splendid alumni is worth celebrating. Serious about the photo on the front page of Paris Matchbut behind the scenes, in their old theater, naturalness returns at a gallop. The Splendid is first and foremost a story of friends who founded a theater troupe and who have gone down in history thanks to their comedies.
Michel Blanc had a vocation for comedy and at the Pasteur high school in Neuilly, he was not the only one: “I got bored very easily, that has stuck with me until now and I couldn’t stand being alone. I was an only child but, as my grandmother said, I didn’t know how to play by myself”. He began participating in Splendid in the 1970s. With the arrival of new members, the troupe managed to build its own café-theatre. On stage, he had a string of successes and the adaptation of their comedies to the cinema quickly became recognized, notably thanks to Tanned.
