(Toronto) Rafaël Harvey-Pinard scored in the ninth round of the shootout and the Laval Rocket beat the Toronto Marlies 6-5 on Wednesday.
The choice of the seventh round of the CH in 2019 ended the debate thanks to a beautiful feint of the backhand.
Cole Caufield tied 5-5 at 1:46 p.m. in the third period for the Rocket, who lost 5-1 late in the second period.
Harvey-Pinard also hit the mark in the first third.
Gabriel Bourque, Louie Belpedio and Lukas Vejdemo were the other scorers of the Laval clan.
Michael McNiven faltered five times on 22 shots, then Kevin Poulin made 14 saves.
Laval will play again on Saturday evening, in Belleville.
The Marlies’ nets came from Brett Seney (twice), Josh Ho-Sang, Joey Anderson and Semyon Der-Arguchintsev.
Erik Kallgren stopped 13 of 14 shots, then Michael Hutchinson allowed four goals on 28 shots.
