a specialized company from the Var has sold more than a thousand Ukrainian flags since the start of the Russian invasion

The Macap company, in Cuers (Var), has sold since the start of the Russian offensive in Ukraine, on February 24, more than a thousand Ukrainian flags, France Bleu Provence reports on Wednesday. Orders come from communities but also from individuals. “They order a Ukrainian flag to put on their balcony or in front of their house to show their support for the inhabitants”tells France Bleu Provence Alexandre Praneuf, spokesperson for the company.

The company specializing in the manufacture of flags had to reorganize to meet the demand. “We had never had to face such a demand for a foreign flag. We therefore reorganized ourselves on the manufacturing side but also on the shipping side because we never deliver so many individual orders”explains Alexandre Praneuf. “Until now, we sold Ukrainian flags for very specific events, such as trade fairs. We therefore had no stock and, to meet demand, we had to quickly print, cut and make blue flags and yellow. We continue to do so as we go.” still reports Alexandre Praneuf to France Bleu Provence.
