a SpaceX rocket is to reach the International Space Station

A SpaceX rocket was to take off, Monday, February 27 in the morning, at 7:45 a.m., from Cape Canaveral in Florida (United States). Two minutes before takeoff, the mission was postponed. Blame it on a technical problem. While tensions between Washington and Moscow are at their highest, the International Space Station is one of the rare fields of cooperation between the two countries. On board will live two Americans, a Russian and an Emirati.

“This is the second mission for the United Arab Emirates and only the first of long duration”says Sultane Al-Neyadi, astronaut of the Emirati. The astronauts must join the Crew-5 crew, made up of four passengers, who will return to Earth after a handover of a few days, but also three astronauts sent by Russia, whose return ship was damaged by a micro-meteorite. Their rescue ship arrived yesterday, it will bring them back to Earth in September, six months after the initial date.
