Wednesday December 27 marks the 100th anniversary of the death of Gustave Eiffel. A sound and light show recorded at the Eiffel Tower will be broadcast on social networks on this occasion. French DJ and producer Michaël Canitrot was chosen for this performance.
On the top of the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, French DJ and producer Michaël Canitrot delivered a unique electronic and visual musical show. This is a collaboration to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the death of Gustave Eiffel, an anniversary which takes place on Wednesday December 27. The opportunity to see one of the great symbols of France in a different light. “I imagined a soundtrack that lasts 55 minutes, also with nods to contemporary composers from the time of Gustave Eiffel”explains Michaël Canitrot.
“Highlight our heritage”
By performing at the Eiffel Tower, but also at the Palace of Versailles, at Mont-Saint-Michel or even at the Palais–Royal, the artist has been making French heritage vibrate for several months during his “Monumental Tour”. A way of “highlight our heritage through a new perspective, through contemporary creation”and also “raise people’s awareness of the importance of preserving heritage”, explains the DJ. His performance recorded a few days ago at the Eiffel Tower will be broadcast at 9 p.m. Wednesday, on the social networks of Michaël Canitrot and the Eiffel Tower.
