New Belgian-Dutch duel in sight. The day after the men’s race won by Belgian Remco Evenepoel, these two nations are the most likely to grab victory in the women’s road race, Sunday August 4 (2 p.m., live on France Télévisions and france.tv). On a 158 km course, similar to that of the men and ideal for punchers and sprinters, the Belgians can count on Lotte Kopecky, winner of the Strade Bianche and Paris-Roubaix in 2024.
The Netherlands, for their part, arrive with an armada of talent. Their four riders, including Demi Vollering, reigning world champion and Marianne Vos, gold at the London 2012 Olympics, can all claim the podium. On the French side, Juliette Labous, 4th in the 2024 Vuelta, will be the best chance for a medal. She will be accompanied by Audrey Cordon-Ragot and track specialist Victoire Berteau.
