A slightly warmer temperature in certain regions of Quebec on Sunday

Quebec will see its first 15 C of the spring season on Sunday, as the small municipality of Frelighsburg, in Estrie, signals that the warm season is about to arrive.

However, the rest of the province will not experience such comforting temperatures, despite the rays of sunshine that will appear in places, particularly in Montreal and its neighboring regions. The mercury should hover around 1 to 2 degrees throughout the day. Western Quebec will see similar weather.

The situation will be even more different moving slightly eastward, where snow flurries are expected in certain regions, notably Estrie, Beauce and part of Saguenay. Same story for the eastern end, while snowflakes are also expected in Matane, in the Matapédia Valley, and in the north in Baie-Comeau and Fermont. The temperature will drop to -2, in these regions.

The other regions, especially in the Centre-du-Québec, will mostly see an alternation of sun and cloud today. Ditto for the Bas-Saint-Laurent, as well as the southern part of Gaspésie, which will not be affected by the snow showers.

For its part, the Îles-de-la-Madeleine expect to see up to 30% chance of showers at the start of the day.
