In Haute-Saône, a shooting caused panic in Héricourt on the afternoon of Saturday May 25. A man opened fire with a Kalashnikov in the city center. No injuries were reported, and the shooter was arrested.
On the crowded terraces of Héricourt (Haute-Saône), residents are still in shock on the evening of Saturday May 25. In the afternoon, a man armed with a Kalashnikov fired several shots into the sky, according to witnesses. “The guy came in front of me with the gun, almost threatening me, [a demandé] where is he ?”, says a woman. According to local residents, the shooter continued to walk towards a village hall.
“I saw a man on the corner of my street, come up with a hood, a cap and a Kalashnikov type weapon (…) and he fired at the facade in front of my house, precisely 13 shots”, testifies a man. The shooter then tried to take refuge in a home, probably that of his parents. The police quickly intervened and arrested him. His motives are not yet known. An investigation has been opened.
