A shooting left five people lightly injured on Tuesday April 16, around 8 p.m., in the popular Chemin-Bas-d’Avignon district of Nîmes (Gard), franceinfo learned from a police source. The five lightly injured people were treated with no life-threatening injuries. According to this police source, several perpetrators fled. The public prosecutor of Nîmes, Cécile Gensac, specifies that none of the injured, hit in the lower limbs, presented a vital injury.
This is not the first time that shots have been exchanged in the Chemin-Bas district of Avignon since the start of the year. Last March, two people had already been injured by bullets in the same neighborhood, the perpetrators also fled.
