A shed full of agricultural equipment catches fire in the Double forest in the Dordogne

In the forest of Double, in Echourgnac, a hangar of an agricultural and forestry company caught fire at 1:30 p.m. according to Jacques Gambro, the mayor of Echourgnac. The fire then spread over 1/2 hectare of the meadow. Five fire engines immediately intervened.

They were unable to save the 450 m2 shed which contained agricultural equipment – a truck, two cars, a stock of tires – and photovoltaic panels on its roof. The firefighters prevented the fire from affecting an adjoining shed of 200 bales of hay as well as tanks of diesel and gasoline. The fire is under control but the origin remains undetermined.
