National road 162 was cut for nearly three hours this Friday afternoon. Around 2 p.m., two cars collided violently in the town of Fromentières, near Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne.
The driver of one of the cars, a 50-year-old man was transported in very serious condition by helicopter to Angers hospital. His passenger, an 18-year-old boy, was slightly injured by the shock. He is being treated at the Laval hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle also escaped with minor injuries. He was transported to the Haut-Anjou hospital center in Château-Gontier.
For nearly three hours, diversions by the RD28, RD14 and RD21, RD591 and RD152 were put in place. Traffic is now restored.
