A septuagenarian misses the call in Terrebonne

The Terrebonne – Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines-Bois-des-Filion Intermunicipal Police Service is asking the public for help in locating a 74-year-old man missing Monday on Comtois Road in Terrebonne, in Lanaudière.

Ernest Marin has been missing since 12 p.m. when he went on a mountain bike ride.

Speaking in French, the septuagenarian is 1m73 (5’8 ”), weighs nearly 106 kg (235 lbs) and has white hair.

He was wearing a navy-colored coat, pale gray athletic pants, vision goggles, black hiking boots, and a black (bowl-style) motorcycle helmet the last time he was sighted.

Its all-terrain vehicle is Honda Rubicon 2013 in red, with a storage box placed in the rear.

“The police and investigators carried out several searches in the area as soon as the report was made in an attempt to locate it. The visit of neighbors, the sweeping of the courtyards of the residences and the assistance of the patrollers in off-road vehicles for the sweeping of the paths were carried out ”, indicated the service of police force by press release.

The Terrebonne and Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines Fire Department as well as the help of the Canadian Armed Forces were also requested for assistance with the search.

A mobile command post was also brought to the site.
