A seminar against “separatism” is organized Monday, November 29 in Matignon, learned Sunday franceinfo in the entourage of the Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin. This meeting, which will start at 9 am, will take place in the presence of 450 senior officials.
The debates will focus in particular on better coordination of local authorities and State services. At the end of August, the law known as the fight against “separatism” – but officially called “law reinforcing respect for the principles of the Republic” – had been promulgated in the Official Journal.
At the end of September, the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, announced that he had initiated procedures to close six places of worship and dissolve several associations, all suspected of propagating radical Islamism. They were located in Sarthe, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Côte-d’Or, Rhône or even Gard.
