A second rally in the Dordogne after the Boulazac feminicide

The meeting was given at 11 a.m. on the Place Saint-Louis in Périgueux (Dordogne). About sixty people came pay tribute to the victim of the Boulazac feminicide on Tuesday August 30. A 52-year-old woman was stabbed twenty times by her husband.

The 76th victim of femicide since the beginning of the year

The demonstrators, mainly women, also sang the “women’s anthem” after observing a minute of silence. The names of the 79 women killed by their spouse or ex-spouse since the beginning of the year have been listed by activists. Since Wednesday, three other women died in France under the same conditions.

A first rally took place the day after the murder, in front of the town hall of Boulazac, organized by the municipality.
