Online sales during confinement
Salesperson in ready-to-wear and cosmetics for various brands in the city center and on the outskirts of Châteauroux, the 28-year-old had the idea of getting into second-hand jeans. “I am a mother of two young children. During the lockdown I couldn’t work anymore but I didn’t want to stay idle. I started selling online but with plans to open my shop later. It was my dream”, says Camille Aladenise.
She provides herself from a ragpicker in the North : jeans, overalls, skirts, jackets, shirts…”I redo a sorting to locate the defects and to have only products in good or in very good condition. If necessary I wash them or I make small repairs.” The young woman opened her shop on September 6 under the Inverse C brand, as a call to reverse the trend. The first assessment is positive : “I did not expect to see so many people and of all ages. I think that the context of declining purchasing power combines with a more environmentally conscious behavior.”
Encouraging beginnings for Camille Aladenise who, still a high school student, had set herself the goal of having her own shop before the age of 30.
