A fire broke out in the former Oscar Motel on Taschereau Boulevard in Longueuil on Sunday morning.

This is the second fire this year in this disused building, since 80 firefighters also had to put out the flames on January 24.
“The fire is still raging,” said spokesperson for the Longueuil agglomeration fire safety service (SSIAL), Daniel Deslauriers. The cause is unknown, but the building was frequented by squatters. We were called around 9:20 a.m. Forty firefighters were deployed.
The fire caused no injuries.
