A “scribble” by Picasso estimated between 25,000 and 35,000 euros at auction in Saint-Brieuc

“I admit that it does not speak to me, I do not see the work”, confides a woman in front of the drawing by Pablo Picasso exhibited at the auction house in Saint-Brieuc. “It’s special but it’s Picasso anyway”, observes her spouse.

This small drawing in A4 format, dating from the end of the 60s, is auctioned this Saturday, November 27. It is actually a dedication addressed to the companion of a toreador friend of Picasso. The drawing on the theme of bullfighting is estimated between 25,000 and 35,000 euros. “It’s a colossal sum, the price of a small apartment in Saint-Brieuc,” admits auctioneer Tugdual Borel. “Nevertheless, for a collector, for someone who has big means, it remains an accessible work“.
