A 5th grade schoolboy was stabbed by another student on Tuesday, May 21, during PE class at Lamartine college in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), France Bleu Occitanie learned from the rectorate.
According to a press release from the Toulouse rectorate, the events took place this Tuesday morning around 10:30 a.m. “A 5th grade student asks to go to the toilet. When he returns, the PE teacher notices that his t-shirt is stained with blood. He immediately sends him to the infirmary, the nurse notices an injury to his knife”, writes the rectorate.
The injured young schoolboy was hospitalized, he said, while the police quickly intervened in the establishment. “A disciplinary procedure is initiated against the alleged perpetrator, a 3rd grade student”, continues the rectorate, which indicates that a listening cell has been set up in the college.
“I learned with horror that a schoolboy was stabbed by one of his classmates at the Alphonse de Lamartine college in Toulouse,” reacts on X the president of the Departmental Council of Haute-Garonne. “An unacceptable act that I strongly condemn. I send him all my support, as well as his loved ones and the entire educational community.” Tuesday afternoon, the deputy academic director of the National Education Services of Haute-Garonne visited the site, finally specifies the rectorate.
