A schoolboy from Dordogne was attacked on Thursday March 30 in the playground by two comrades because he was wearing an OM jersey, France Bleu Périgord reported on Friday April 7. The young boy suffered a broken nose and several stitches.
The 4th grader was given 12 days of ITT by a doctor in the emergency room. The attack took place during the break between noon and two, according to the teenager’s mother. “A comrade came and slapped him on the back of the head because he was wearing an OM jersey, there were others and my son asked him to stop […] they had a fight and another young man came and punched him, after that my son doesn’t remember anything”she said.
An ongoing judicial investigation
“My son had his face massacred for an OM t-shirt”. She remembers being “mad with rage” when called by the establishment. She took her son to the emergency room for examination and tests. According to her, her son has already had arguments with comrades with this jersey “but it had never gone so far”she continued.
According to the young boy’s father-in-law, the schoolboy has been the victim of harassment since entering 6th grade in college. According to him, the T-shirt was just a pretext. A week after his attack, the schoolboy is better, but fears his return to school at the end of the month. The mother filed a complaint with the police. According to information from France Bleu Périgord, a judicial investigation is underway. In parallel with the judicial investigation, an internal investigation is being conducted within this establishment.
The Sports Assistant to the Mayor of Marseille, Sébastien Jibrayel, reacted on Twitter. He invites the teenager to the Vélodrome stadium to attend an OM match.
All my support for this young OM supporter.
If the #TeamOM manages to find his coordinates, with the Mayor @BenoitPayan we will welcome him to the velodrome stadium to see a match of his favorite team.
