A 14-year-old student from a college in Alfortvillle, in Val-de-Marne, was arrested on Monday, September 18, in the middle of class. He is suspected of harassment.
In a middle school in the Paris suburbs, on the afternoon of Monday September 18, police officers burst into class to arrest a 14-year-old student suspected of harassment. The teenager left his class with handcuffs on his wrists, under the stunned gaze of his classmates. “I was shocked to see this“, testifies one of them. The parents of the students are also overcome with emotion. “They could have arrested the kid outside the school“, says one mother.
Death threats
According to the prosecution, the 14-year-old young man harassed a high school student attending another establishment. He entered a group of teenagers on social networks. The alleged victim, aged 15 and in gender transition, was allegedly the target of transphobic insults and death threats.
