Letter sent (without hope) to the Premier of Quebec.
I was appalled, indeed outraged and deeply disappointed, with the recent budget announced this week. Ridiculous tax cuts for the less affluent and which remain insignificant for the richest, who do not even need them. All this while a good part of the population does not have a family doctor and does not have access within a reasonable time to health services worthy of an industrialized country. How can we explain that the billions that will be lost in uncollected taxes have not instead been injected into a shameful health system that exploits its nurses and overpays its medical specialists? Are we therefore condemned to be governed by beings so little concerned with the good of the community and so little visionary to the point of being incapable of simple common sense?
