“We live in Czechoslovakia!”. Benjamin Castaldi
don’t go out of your way to express your anger. In fact, the former columnist of TPMPreacted to the recent hearing of Cyril Hanouna at the National Assembly by the commission of inquiry into the allocation, content and control of authorizations for national television services on digital terrestrial television (DTT).
For him, it is simply relentlessness. Indeed, questioned by our colleagues from Puremedias
he indicates that this type of practice reminds him of post-war Soviet methods. “I don’t understand, I’m scandalized and I find it absolutely deplorable to end up with such a witch hunt. The hearing of Vincent Bolloré and Cyril Hanouna is a scandal”he cursed before blurting: “What we experienced there, in 2024, was a Soviet trial, it was ‘The Confession’”.

Cyril Hanouna and “TPMP” have always recognized their “errors”
In reality, what does not understand Benjamin Castaldi, it is the lack of fairness in the treatment of emissions. Indeed, he recalls that “no one is suing France Inter”. “Anyway, it’s simple. When it’s left-wing, it’s good! When it’s right-wing, it’s bad!”he said, still going up.
To support his remarks, he wanted to make a reference to the Cahuzac affair, the former Minister of Economy and Finance under the mandate of François Hollande sentenced to three to four years of imprisonment for tax fraud and money laundering. “If we think absurdly, the man on the left is still more responsible for bad things than the man on the right”he continued in reference to this affair.
Nevertheless, Benjamin Castaldi recognizes, particularly when he was still officiating in the daily newspaper of C8that they have “made bullshit in TPMP, that sometimes this [leur] escaped”. But “Cyril recognized him”. In fact, for Simon Castaldi’s father, “It all makes no sense.” “These are cases that have been judged (by Arcom). These facts concern only 0.1% of the airtime of ‘TPMP’. Stop!”he concluded with as much vehemence as ever.
