The person who will lead Santé Québec will have even higher remuneration than what some media had recently suggested, i.e. $567,000 per year and $652,050 for the first two years.
The salary conditions of the president and CEO were made public Wednesday in the Official Gazette of Quebec.
His or her “basic” annual salary is $567,000 per year, but he or she will be entitled to “additional compensation of 15%” of this amount for the first two years, it is specified. At $652,050, his income exceeds the remuneration of the CEO of Hydro-Québec, the best paid of all state corporations currently, i.e. $639,000.
The call for applications for the position is due to be launched this Wednesday.
