Several Internet users claim that Volodymyr Zelensky’s wife bought a Bugatti when she visited France. Information denied by the brand itself.
Olena Zelenska, the wife of the Ukrainian president, allegedly took advantage of her visit to France in June 2023 to buy a Bugatti, according to messages shared thousands of times on social networks. This is false. Internet users present an invoice, supposedly from the Bugatti dealership in Neuilly-sur-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine). It is a fake: the amount is not indicated in euros and the name of the city is misspelled.
The rumor also spread with a video, probably created using artificial intelligence, in which an employee of the Bugatti dealership is said to be speaking. The brand confirms that this alleged salesperson has never worked for it and announces that it has filed a complaint for forgery, use of forgery, identity theft and defamation. A pro-Russian site is at the origin of this false information. The Hidden Truth site had already been singled out for disinformation campaigns.
