Act 3, scene 2. Manchester City and Real Madrid, the two favorites in the Champions League, meet again, Wednesday April 17 in England (9 p.m.), for the return match of their third consecutive confrontation in the C1 elimination phase. The first round, at the Santiago-Bernabéu stadium on April 9, offered a spectacular scenario and a result which kept the suspense intact (3-3).
Last year, the Cityzens corrected the Madrilenians in the return match (4-0) after having already obtained an away draw in the first leg (1-1), on the road to their first Champions League. In 2021-2022, it was the Merengues who lifted the trophy after winning this double confrontation (3-4, 3-1). If the C1 is not yet promised to the winner of this match, a place in the semi-finals, either against Arsenal or against Bayern Munich, will be decided on Wednesday evening.
