While the far right is on the way to becoming the second political force in Sweden after the legislative elections on Sunday, French-speaking Internet users claim video support, that Islamists are demonstrating against the rise of the party.
The Swedes renewed their parliamentary representatives on Sunday. If the final results of the ballot will not be known until Wednesday, the far right seems to come in second place. This historic score caused reactions beyond the country’s borders. Thus, in France, Twitter accounts expressed their support by sharing a video. It shows a gathering of women wearing black veils and men waving flags with Arabic inscriptions. These Internet users wrongly claim that this demonstration aims to denounce the rise of the far right in the country.
