A relative of Yoko Ono and John Lennon writes his memoirs

(New York) Elliot Mintz, a close friend of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, will publish his memoir next year, in which he will discuss behind-the-scenes moments with the famous couple.


American publisher Dutton and British publisher Transworld announced the deal with Mintz, who first met Lennon and Ono in the early 1970s and remained close to Ono after Lennon’s murder in 1980. The book is currently untitled.

Mintz, 78, said in a statement that he had waited 50 years to share his memories with the couple.

He says it’s a privilege for him to share his story and offer an intimate portrait of his “two dearest friends”.

Elliot Mintz, spokesperson and radio and television host, has worked on various projects about the Lennon-Ono couple over the years. He notably hosted the radio documentary series The Lost Lennon Tapeswhich featured previously unreleased recordings by the late musician.

He has also been a spokesperson for many other celebrities, from Bob Dylan to Paris Hilton.
