A recycling center dedicated to sports offers second-hand items that have been donated for sale. A beneficial approach for the wallet and the environment.

A football outfit for 10 euros or 40 euros for a cycling or tennis outfit. In an association store, similar to a sports store, the items on sale are almost all second-hand. This is second hand from donations. “Everyone can give”, explains Morgane Thomas, co-founder of HexEco, a “recycler” of sporting articles.

Consumers come in the hope of getting good deals, but also in an ecological approach. “It’s good for the wallet, for the environment, but also socially (…) For me, it seems more logical than buying and throwing away”says Louise, 24 years old. In three years of existence, the associative shop has made it possible to reuse nearly four tonnes of material. Only items in very good condition are offered for sale. They can also be transformed, like a rain suit made from a camping canvas.
